If you add a modifier you’ll get one of four track types, the channel width will follow the last created track: if it was a mono audio track, thats what you’ll get, if it was a stereo Instrument track, then that’s what you’ll get.
That will create another one of whatever the last track type you created was. However if you find you need one extra of a particular track type the there’s an even faster way. You can create all the tracks you need for a session in a single step with different track types and channel widths.
